Dear Members and Friends,
This Tuesday, June 7, is New Jersey Primary Day and we hope those of you who live in the Garden State will take the time to vote.
Besides the Presidential Primary, there are some competitive GOP Congressional races to consider.
The Foundation has endorsed the following candidates in two of those races--Dave Larsen (NJ-7), photo below left, and Congressman Chris Smith (NJ-4), photo below right.
(Additional endorsements can be found in the attached press release, also below.)
As always, we appreciate your consideration.
On behalf of the Foundation Board,

Regional Conservative Group Backs Larsen, Smith, MacAruthur, Lobiondo, Patterson, and Uccio for Congress in
the NJ Primary and General Election
Philadelphia (June 2, 2016) -- The Independence Hall Foundation, the largest independent conservative grass roots organization with thousands of followers in the tri-state region, announced its endorsements in key congressional district races--including the hotly contested 7th District primary race which pits Dave Larsen v. Leonard Lance.
"The Foundation board endorses challenger Larsen over incumbent Lance for several reasons," said Foundation spokesman Bill Green, of Burlington County.
"We believe Dave Larsen is a natural conservative.  This is Dave's third serious attempt to defeat Leonard Lance--each  time getting closer and closer--and we think Dave's candidacy, alone, has moved Lance to vote more conservatively over the last six years.
"Whether the matter involves the economy or social issues, such as the right to life, Lance has moved further to the right.
"In fact, Lance, once the poster child for the NJ Sierra Club, has even shifted further to the right on environmental issues.
"You might then ask--why is the Foundation supporting the challenger when the incumbent's voting record has improved?  Our response is that it's a matter of trust.
"We support Larsen because he is an authentic, genuine conservative while Lance has been voting more conservatively for political expediency," said Green.
(The Foundation board did not seriously consider the third candidate running in this race.)
"In the only other competitive primary race in which the Foundation board is making an endorsement, the 4th Congressional District, we wholeheartedly support Congressman Chris Smith for re-election.
"Congressman Smith has been a longstanding champion of civil rights for unborn children and a staunch defender of human rights in both America and abroad.
"Frankly, Congressman Smith is an indispensable member of the US House and we can't imagine a Congress without him," said Green.
The 20-member Foundation Board has voted unanimously to endorse the following candidates:

Central and South Jersey Competitive Congressional GOP Primary Races
7th District
Dave Larsen

4th District
Chris Smith

Central and South Jersey Non-Competitive Congressional GOP Primary Races
1st District
Bob Patterson
2nd District

Regional Conservative Group Backs Toomey, Peters, Meehan, Beiler, Fitzpatrick, and Connolly in PA Primary;
Withholds Endorsement in Presidential Race

Philadelphia (April 19, 2016) -- The Independence Hall Foundation, the largest independent conservative grass roots organization with thousands of members in the tri-state region, is announcing, today, its endorsements in key 2016 Pennsylvania
Republican statewide and congressional district primary races.

Although the 20-member Foundation Board could not reach a consensus in the GOP presidential primary, the Board has voted unanimously (except in the 13th Congressional District) to endorse the following candidates:

Pennsylvania Statewide Competitive Primary Races
Attorney General
Joe Peters

The Foundation endorses Joe Peters because of his impressive career in law enforcement (his association with Kathleen Kane not withstanding) and his commitment to take on local PA municipalities that provide "sanctuary" to illegal immigrants in opposition to federal and state laws.
The Foundation duly notes that Peter's opponent, State Senator John Rafferty, has significantly less experience in law enforcement; supports "dreamer" legislation;
opposes the privatization of the Liquor Control Board and the enactment of Paycheck Protection due his strong union ties.
Southeast PA Competitive Congressional Primary Races
7th District
Pat Meehan

The Foundation endorses Pat Meehan (above left) because of his consistent votes, over the years, to repeal ObamaCare; defund Planned Parenthood; lower taxes; decrease spending; expose corrupt practices of the Veterans Administration; hold the Obama Administration accountable on the Benghazi and Fast and Furious scandals; stop Obama's Executive Order on Immigration, and support our nation's defense.  Meehan has also been a strong advocate of local law enforcement communities.
During his tenure as Cheltenham Township Commissioner (Montgomery County) in the 1980's, Meehan's primary opponent, Stan Casacio (above right), voted to increase the township's budget by 80% and raise property taxes by 42% to cover the deficit he helped create.

8th District
Brian Fitzpatrick
The Foundation endorses Brian Fitzpatrick over his two primary challengers due to his overwhelming conservative credentials--which include fighting political corruption and worldwide terrorism as an FBI Special Agent; his district-wide name recognition; and his ability to raise the funds necessary to defeat his Democrat primary opponent in the fall election.

16th District
Chet Beiler
The Foundation endorses Chet Beiler due to his successful career as an entrepreneur and his commitment to conservative principles.  Beiler's opponent, State Senator Lloyd Smucker, supports "dreamer" legislation and opposes cracking down on "sanctuary"

17th District
Matt Connolly
The Foundation endorses charismatic and articulate NASCAR race driver, Matt Connolly, because of his commitment to conservative principles and his second place finish in a three-way primary race in  2014--which earned him district-wide name recognition.  In 2014, Connolly's opponent, Northampton County Councilman Glenn Geissinger, voted to increase county taxes by almost 10%.

Pennsylvania Statewide Non-Competitive GOP Primary Races
US Senator
Pat Toomey
PA Auditor General
John Brown
PA State Treasurer
Otto Voit
Pennsylvania Non-Competitive Congressional GOP Primary Races
1st District
Deborah Williams

2nd Disrict
James Jones

6th District
Ryan Costello

11th District
Lou Barletta

13th District
Robert Sklaroff (write-in candidate)

15th District
No endorsement
Charlie Dent, the incumbent GOP Congressman, is a vocal supporter of the taxpayer funded group, Planned Parenthood, despite recent disclosures that the nation's leading abortion provider (PP) barbarically kills over 300,000 unborn children annually--then sells their body parts on the market to the highest bidder.

Catholics, Environment Policy Experts to Challenge Pope
on Global Warming and the Nature of Capitalism at Presser
Philadelphia (September 15, 2015) -- In anticipation of the Papal Visit to Philadelphia, the Independence Hall Foundation will host a Constitution Day Press Conference at
Independence Mall, Thursday, September 17, challenging Pope Francis on Global Warming and the Nature of Capitalism.
Conference participants, a majority of whom are Catholic, include WPHT 1210 AM talk show host Dom Giordano as well as experts from the Heartland Institute.
The Heartland Institute (http://www.heartland.org), a Chicago based think tank, promotes public policy based on individual liberty, limited government, and free markets.
In 2012, The Economist called The Heartland Institute "the world's most prominent think tank supporting skepticism about man-made climate change."
In April, The Heartland Institute led a contingent to Vatican City to ensure Pope Francis was exposed to the latest data and research on the climate, which shows human activity is not causing a climate crisis.
Thursday's presser will take direct aim at Laudato Si', the Pontiff's most recent encyclical.
What:  Presser to debunk myths about causes and consequences of global warming and to discuss Papal teaching on the climate and the nature of Capitalism.

When:  Constitution Day, Thursday, September 17, 2015, 12:30 PM.

Where:  Ballroom of the Independence Visitors Center, 6th and Market Streets, Independence Mall, Philadelphia, PA.
Who:  Teri Adams, Co-Founder, Independence Hall Foundation; Dom Giordano, WPHT 1210 AM Talk Show Host; Jay Lehr, Ph. D., Science Director, The Heartland Institute;
Elizabeth Yore, J.D., former General Counsel at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children; and Gene Koprowski, Director of Marketing, The Heartland Institute.
Why:  During his visit to America, the Pope will be addressing these issues, along with
others, as he makes planned trips to Washington DC, New York, and Philadelphia --including a stop at Independence Mall, Saturday, September 26, 4:45 PM.
In holding our conference on Independence Mall, we seek to bring awareness to the American community-at-large, and Catholics in particular, that the teachings of Pope Francis, outside the spiritual realm, need to be questioned and debated before gaining acceptance.
The Pope is the spiritual leader of the Roman Catholic Church.  He is not a temporal leader, scientist, or  economist -- and certainly not infallible regarding issues relating to science and the economy.

Delaware Valley Stop Iran Deal Postponed!!!

September 11,  2015, 7:30 AM
Dear Friends,
In light of yesterday's developments in the US Senate, the Delaware Valley Stop Iran Coalition organizers have decided to postpone our Stop Iran Rally! scheduled for Sunday, September 13, on Independence Mall as we reconsider our strategy moving forward.
We condemn, in the harshest manner, the votes of 42 Senators who successfully
filibustered the resolution of disapproval regarding the horrific Iran deal.  Due to the overwhelming public opposition to this deal, as indicated by recent polling, the Senate should have allowed this resolution to reach the President's desk.
Please continue to be vigilant in this extremely urgent matter.  In the words of John Paul Jones, "We have only just begun to fight."  For the peace, strength, and security of America and our allies, we must stop Iranian aggression--there is no other option.
On behalf of Coalition organizers,
Don Adams

September 7, 2015, 9 PM
Dear Members and Friends,
Since our last email before Labor DaySenator Cory Booker (D-NJ), Rep. Matt
Cartwright (D-PA), and Rep. Frank Pallone (D-NJ) have joined Senators Bob Casey (D-PA) and Chris Coons (D-DE) in betraying our national security interests by supporting the Iran deal.
Now, there are only two remaining members of our regional congressional delegation yet to announce a position on the deal -- Congressmen Bob Brady (D-PA) and John Carney (D-DE).
Thanks to Senators Casey, Coons, and Booker, the deal is veto-proof against the resolution of disapproval being introduced the House and Senate.
Despite the setback, we are not giving up until all 535 members of Congress vote -- either late this week or early next week!
Besides winning a majority vote against this deal in the House, we seek to stop aDemocrat-led filibuster in the Senate -- and hold all 100 Senators accountable for their position on one the most consequential foreign policy decisions of 21st century.
If you are represented by Congressmen Brady or Carney, please call their offices ASAP.   Tell them to vote against this horrific deal.
We also urge you to call Senators Booker, Casey, and Coons to urge them -- at very least -- to vote for cloture to end any filibuster attempt.  We must get the resolution of disapproval to the President's desk.  (It is believed that we are only one vote shy of attaining cloture in the Senate.)

Retired General Colin Powell Supports Iran Deal
Is anyone really surprised?  Former Secretary of State Colin Powell andCongresswoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz (D-FL) announced their decision on the same day (yesterday).
On the off chance you care to read more about Powell's decision:
On our side, 190 retired Generals and Admirals announced their opposition to the deal two weeks ago:
Please save the date and spread the word!
The purpose of this regional event is to unite opponents, educate the public to the dangerous nature of the agreement, and to convince the undecided members of our tri-state area Congressional delegation to oppose the deal.
It's extremely important for our region to demonstrate opposition to this agreement--especially since we live in the cradle of liberty and the birthplace of our nation!

June 28, 2015, 11 AM
Dear Friends,
Ironically, this past month, as the western world celebrated the 800th Anniversary of the presentation of Magna Carta to the King of England by British Barons at Runnymede, the cause of limited government was dealt significant setbacks, both at home and abroad.
Laudato Si' and Magna Carta
Let's begin with the anniversary date of Magna Carta itself.  On Monday, June 15, news broke, prematurely, regarding the contents of Pope Francis' Encyclical, Laudato Si', as this much anticipated document was leaked to the world by an Italian media outlet.

The dystopic Encyclical confirmed the worst fears regarding the political nature of Pope Francis.
In Laudato Si', an arrogant Pope settles the climate change argument, once and for all, by stating that "global warming" is "man-made" and will end in complete catastrophe if not acted upon, immediately, and collectively, by the nations of the world.

Fifty shades of former Vice President Al Gore, including his false predictions about the immediate dire consequences of global warming, abound throughout the document.

While Climate Change is a real phenomenon as old as our "Sister, Mother Earth," as the Pope calls our planet (wouldn't "Sister Earth" or "Mother Earth" be sufficient?), there is still honest intellectual disagreement among respected scientists regarding its causes and effects.  Amazingly, the Pope refuses to acknowledge the skeptics of global warming--except to accuse them:

...The worldwide ecological movement has already made considerable progress and led to the establishment of numerous organizations committed to raising awareness of these challenges. Regrettably, many efforts to seek concrete solutions to the environmental crisis have proved ineffective, not only because of powerful opposition but also because of a more general lack of interest. Obstructionist attitudes, even on the part of believers, can range from denial of the problem to indifference, nonchalant resignation or blind confidence in technical solutions. We require a new and universal solidarity. ...    - Laudato Si', Paragraph 14
The following links expound upon the Vatican's refusal to even listen to those members of the scientific community who hold opposing viewpoints:
The reluctance of Pope Francis to respectfully consider, or acknowledge, minority opinion on climate change found among leading members of the scientific community is troubling, especially given the church's abysmal history of dealing with trailblazing scientists such as Galileo.

Instead, the Encyclical speaks with such an authoritative voice on climate change that one might think that God, Himself, had dictated the document.

And, as if solving the puzzle of climate change isn't enough for one Encyclical, the Pope adds the issue of world poverty into the mix--strongly inferring that a redistribution of wealth, from rich nations to poor nations, must be accomplished in the very near future.
The developed countries ought to help pay this debt by significantly limiting their consumption of non-renewable energy and by assisting poorer countries to support policies and programmes of sustainable development. The poorest areas and countries are less capable of adopting new models for reducing environmental impact because they lack the wherewithal to develop the necessary processes and to cover their costs. We must continue to be aware that, regarding climate change, there are differentiated responsibilities.  - Laudato Si', Paragraph 52
Pope Francis then eludes to the establishment of a world authority to oversee the wealth redistribution and ecological policy schemes that should be imposed upon sovereign nations.

An interdependent world not only makes us more conscious of the negative effects of certain lifestyles and models of production and consumption which affect us all; more importantly, it motivates us to ensure that solutions are proposed from a global perspective, and not simply to defend the interests of a few countries. Interdependence obliges us to think of one world with a common plan. -  Laudato Si',
Paragraph 164
This "one world with a common plan" notion, together with the Encyclical's blatant attacks on capitalism and economic growth (necessary to sustain the world's population), solidly unites Francis with leftist politicians who seek to expand the role government in our lives--the exact opposite of the revolutionary notion of limited government found in Magna Carta.

The following is a link to the English Language version of Laudato Si':
Bush III Presidential Announcement Coincides with Magna Carta Anniversary
When family matriarch, Barbara Bush, said there had been "enough Bushes" in the White House in reference to the idea of her son, Jeb, running for US President, so many of us breathed a sigh of relief.

The problem is, mama Bush caved--and Bush III announced for the Presidency on, you guessed it, June 15, 2015--the 800th Anniversary of Magna Carta at Runnymede.

Not surprisingly, Bush III never commented on the anniversary--perhaps because Magna Carta forced a monarchy to accept limitations on its powers.

In 1776, our nation's founders completely abolished monarchical reign over the United States.  After serving two terms in office, George Washington set a precedent in 1796 for future presidents by refusing to run for a 3rd term--an election he almost certainly would have won.

That precedent held until Democrat Franklin Delano Roosevelt ran and won a 3rd and 4th term as President.

In 1951, the 22nd Amendment to the Untied States Constitution was passed--limiting a president to two terms in office.

Of course, the Amendment did not prevent immediate family members from holding the office in future years--thereby, giving a few families a chance to alternate control of the Executive branch of government.

The idea that Jeb III could become president only 8 years after his brother, and 22 years after his father, seems to be another slap at the idea of limited government proposed by Magna Carta in 1215.  The election of three presidents from the same immediate family is a throwback to the monarchical system of Old England.  The same goes for notion of aClinton II presidency.
Question:  Will we have to suffer the spectacle of (George P.) Bush IV and (Chelsea) Clinton III running for President in the next decade?
Murders in Charleston
What can anyone say, that hasn't already been said, about a neo-Confederate sympathizer who targeted and killed nine African-American members of a Bible Study group in Charleston, SC?

The horrific nature of the crime, and the aftermath of forgiveness that emanated from the hearts of those who lost loved ones in the hateful attack, brought our nation to its knees.

The following links are smattering of published opinion on the subject:
POTUS & SCOTUS KO Congress and States
If all of this wasn't enough, the United States Supreme Court decided to decide for us--ruling that a bureaucratic interpretation of ObamaCare, in this case by the Internal Revenue Service, is more important than what the law actually said as written and passed by Congress--the representatives of the people--the third branch of government established by the United States Constitution.

In essence, the Judicial branch elevated the Executive branch at the expense of the Legislative branch.

The very next day, the court determined the definition of marriage for each of the 50 states without the Constitutional authority to do so.  That authority, according to the US Constitution, clearly belongs to the states.

In just two days, in two major decisions, the court trampled on the rights of the people to determine law through their elected representatives at the state and federal levels--another major transgression against the notion Magna Carta and limited government.

For further insight on SCOTUS, please read the following opinion pieces:

Delaware Valley Pro-Blue Rally
Saturday, January 10, 2015, 1-2 PM
Independence Mall
5th and Market Streets
Old City, Philadelphia, PA
January 16, 2015, 3 PM
Dear Friends,
We are so very grateful to everyone who made last Saturday's Delaware Valley
Pro-Blue Rally a success--and who cursed the freezing temperatures by
descending upon Independence Mall.
How cold was it?  It was sooo cold, that our professional Bugler had difficulty
getting his instrument to hit the appropriate notes while playing "Taps" in honor of fallen NYPD Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu.
Rally Wrap-Up
There are four major components to most rallies and events: program, promotion,
funding, and media coverage.
A program consists, not only of content, but also setup and venue.  In this,
the Delaware Valley Pro-Blue Rally had it all--great speakers who became the message: Elected Democrats and Republicans; Activists and Veterans; Radio Personalities and Commentators--all coming together to honor our Men and
Women in Blue. (Photos below courtesy of Joseph Kaczmarek/AP; Thom Carroll/PhillyVoice; Bill Lawarence/www.billlawrenceonline.com.)
With Independence Hall as the symbolic backdrop, the message "All Lives Matter" and "police are the first line of defense in protecting our rights to life, liberty, and property" resonated and reverberated.
Bill Green of TNTRentals.com did a fantastic job staging the event.  The banner, funded by member Dave Sommers, looked terrific!
Dom Giordano and WPHT 1210 AMthe office of Senator Pat Toomey, various bloggers, and other social media gurus, helped tremendously in spreading the word. (The official attendance of nearly 300, as determined by a Ranger from
Independence National Historical Park, would have been double, or perhaps, triple, had the weather cooperated.)
Due to the last minute nature of the event--and the difficulty of working around the holidays--we were very fortunate, indeed--but definitely underfunded.
As for earned media, the Rally did exceptionally well.  Due to coverage by the
Associated Press reporter, Natalie Pompilio, our Pro-Blue story was picked up by major newspapers across the country---including the Washington Times, the Houston Chronicle, Dallas Morning News; UT San Diego.
Yahoo News; Newsmax.com; Townhall.com; local ABC, NBC, CBS, and PBS affiliates;
WHYYKYW Newsradio; and various bloggers also featured the rally.
Here are four different versions:

Earlier this week, Senator Pat Toomey, in a tribute to local law enforcement, read the pro-blue rally into the official US Senate Record:

The Independence Hall Foundation would like to send our sincerest appreciation to

The following ariticle, written by Foundation members, recently appeared in Philadelphia Magazine.

Big Idea:  Rename PHL for Ben Franklin

Philadelphia’s great statesman, inventor, humorist and printer died 225 years today. Rechristening the airport is the proper way to honor him.

“No other town, burying its great man, ever buried more of itself than Philadelphia with Franklin.” —Carl Van Doren, 1938

The United States has buried many a great leader throughout its storied history.  The funerals of Presidents WashingtonLincoln (150 years ago  this month), RooseveltKennedy

and Reagan immediately come to mind.  Among American leaders who never occupied the presidency, the burial of the slain Martin Luther King Jr. 47 years ago, also this April, was another moment of immense national sadness.

And in Philadelphia, precisely 225 years ago on April 21st, the city’s most internationally renowned citizen, Dr. Benjamin Franklin, was laid to rest at Christ Church Cemetery in the presence of 20,000 mourners who had gathered at the State House (now Independence Hall) to pay final respects to their friend and neighbor — without whose unsurpassed contributions to the American Revolution the United States might have never been born.

A man of enormous talent and wit, Dr. Franklin could have lived a life of comfort and ease, but chose, instead, to work hard and collaborate with others — constantly bringing useful knowledge and enlightened ideas to the forefront — so that all could benefit. (Franklin never patented his inventions.

Whether discovering electricity, inventing a musical instrument, or founding the first U.S. hospital (Pennsylvania Hospital), Franklin’s energies and curiosities not only raised America’s standard of living, but the world’s as well. Indeed, today’s technologies might not have been possible without his considerable input.

The cutting-edge Franklin not only predicted spaceflight, he was a hot-air balloon enthusiast who marveled at the idea of traveling long distances in the sky — as opposed to getting around by coach and horse-back on land.  Many a school child is well aware of his fancy for kites.

Franklin’s lifelong career as statesman, diplomat, politician, philosopher, scientist, inventor, author, humorist, and printer was unprecedented. He wasn’t simply his era's Steve Jobs. He was Steve Jobs, Condoleezza RiceMilton FriedmanAlbert EinsteinWill RogersMark Twain and John Quincy Adams contained in one human package.

Upon Franklin’s death, no less than Secretary of State Thomas Jefferson proposed to President Washington “that the executive department should wear mourning [for a month]; he declined it because, he said, he would not know where to draw the line if he once began that ceremony. … I told him that the world had drawn so broad a line between him [Washington] and Dr. Franklin, on the one side, and the residue of mankind, on the other, that we might wear mourning for them [like the House of Representatives].” President Washington politely refused to reconsider.

Paying tribute to our national heroes is not something we take lightly. Like Presidents Jefferson and Washington before us, we seek to pay appropriate homage — yet sharp differences of opinion can arise.

In the past two centuries, our city has named a bridge, a park, a stadium and an Institute in Franklin’s honor.

While these are fitting tributes, they are a bit parochial in nature. They do not adequately serve to remind the world of Franklin’s amazing contributions to it — contributions that are still relevant in the 21st century.

Franklin's adopted hometown has strived, for decades, to redefine its sagging image — an image epitomized by the late W.C. Fields' sardonic quote, “all things considered, I’d rather be in Philadelphia.”  Fields, a native Philadelphian, thought the city not a great place to visit. To some extent, that reputation still lingers.

As acclaimed historian, Carl Van Doren wrote in his biographyBenjamin Franklin, “No other town, burying its great man, ever buried more of itself than Philadelphia with Franklin.”

And that was one of the greatest mistakes the city has ever made — burying the spirit of Franklin.

As Philadelphia struggles to become a leading international tourist destination — an endeavor being aided and abetted by a visit from His Holiness, Pope Francis — The Independence Hall Foundation proposes that the city resurrect itself and the spirit of Benjamin Franklin by renaming Philadelphia International Airport as the Ben Franklin International Airport.

You may think, “What good can come from a name change?”

Renaming the airport would hopefully remind its millions of annual visitors, many of whom use the airport to connect with other flights (and not to visit the city), of Philadelphia’s illustrious past as the Revolutionary Capitol of the United States and as a leading city of enlightenment, as practiced by Franklin, a man of humor and knowledge who discovered electricity by flying a kite.

Many throughout the world are familiar with Franklin’s legacy — and those who are not might quickly Google it upon hearing the name Ben Franklin International Airport.

They will not only learn how Franklin impacted today’s world by discovering electricity — they may come to appreciate his enlightened ideas of representative constitutional democracy, respect for all religions, promotion of useful knowledge, and a freedom marked by liberty and virtue.

Resurrecting Franklin by renaming the Philadelphia International Airport after him would be a fitting tribute to a man who died 225 years ago this April 17th, and who continues to inspire his city.

Dear Members and Friends,
We wish you a Happy Christmas and a Blessed New Year!
While there is so much to consider as this year ends and another begins, we hope you will continue to be as vigilant as ever in the struggle for a healthy, limited government--one that guarantees equal opportunity and justice for all as enunciated in the Declaration of Independence and theUnited States Constitution.
To that end, on January 10, 2015, 1-2 PM, we will rally at Independence Mall in support of the men and women in blue who don their uniforms everyday to ensure that our rights are protected.  They are the first line of defense in securing our rights to life, liberty, and property.
We are very pleased to announce that Dom Giordano will headline the rally.   A cadre of elected officials and dignitaries are also expected to participate.
Please understand that this is a non-partisan rally.  We welcome anyone and everyone who sincerely respects the notion of law and order that our police officers help to establish in our communities everyday throughout the year.
Also, we hope you will consider seeing the film, Unbroken, which opens, today, in theaters across our region.  The biopic depicts the incredible life of Louis Zamperini, an American Olympian and World War II hero, whose amazing story of survival and resilience is a testament to the human spirit.  (Unbroken is based on the novel of the same name written by Laura Hillenbrand.)
May God bless each and everyone of you.

Where:  Independence Mall, 5th and Market Streets, Philadelphia
Sponsored by:  Independence Hall Foundation
 December 23, 2014
Dear Members and Friends,
As you well know, the mostly unanswered nationwide protests attacking local police has indirectly led to the assassination of two NYPD Officers, Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Lui, in Brooklyn, New York, this past Saturday.
Because of your overwhelming encouragement, the Independence Hall Foundation is planning a regional rally to show support for the men and women of the various police departments, throughout the Delaware Valley, who take monumental risks, everyday, to protect our lives and provide safety to our loved ones.
Already, we have the commitment of several elected officials to speak at the rally.
It must be emphasized, however, that the rally is a strictly non-partisan event.  We welcome all individuals who sincerely support the efforts of our local police and law enforcement officers.
Like the recent successful Mayfair Rally, which we fully endorsed, we seek to keep this rally positive in nature and ask that your signs only reflect support for the men and women in blue.
We look forward to your participation and welcome your feedback.  Please feel free to respond to this email by clicking the reply button.  We read every email response.
And please spread the word!

Unbroken Opens on Christmas Day
The patriotic biopic, Unbroken, about American Olympian and World War II hero, Louis Zamperini, opens regionally and nationally this Thursday.  The movie, directed by Angelina Jolie, and rated PG-13, has received mixed reviews.
Despite those reviews, the controversial epic film will most likely be nominated for several Academy Awards--even after being denied a single nomination by the politically correct Golden Globe foreign press voters.
We strongly recommend you screen the film and decide on its merits, yourself.   Visit www.Fandango.com to find a theater near you playing the film.

Newly Formed Group Holds Press Conference on Choice of Hillary Clinton as 2013 Liberty Medal Recipient;

Urges Justice for Benghazi Attack Victims

Philadelphia, PA (September 9, 2013) -- The newly formed Independence Hall Foundation is holding a Press Conference, Tuesday, September 10, to announce its founding and to criticize the National Constitution Center and former Governor Jeb Bush for presenting the Liberty Medal to Hillary Clinton--and for doing so on the eve of the first anniversary of the Benghazi Embassy attack.

In addition, the Independence Hall Foundation will announce the recipient(s) of its 2013 Defender of Liberty Medal.

"To present Ms. Clinton with this award on the eve of the first anniversary of the Benghazi Embassy attack is an affront to American Ambassador Chris Stevens and the three servicemen who lost their lives," said Teri Adams.

"From the very beginning, Ms. Clinton and the Obama Administration lied about the attack--at first, blaming it on an American video--then, after that cover was proven false--stonewalling on the truth.

"There is an ongoing Congressional investigation regarding the failed response of the Obama Administration and Ms. Clinton to the attack and its aftermath.

"In addition, neither Ms. Clinton nor the Administration appears to be actively engaged in seeking justice for the victims, the families of the victims, and the American people.  This matter requires both truth and justice," said Ms. Adams.

The Independence Hall Foundation seeks to promote American ideals as embodied in its founding documents--the Declaration of Independence, the United States Constitution, and the Bill of Rights.
Its members recognize and honor Independence Hall as the physical and symbolic foundation of the American nation.

Philadelphia, PA (July 3, 2014) -- The Independence Hall Foundation is announcing, today, that it will present its 2014 Defender of Liberty Award to the Ukrainian people--citing their determination to fight for Independence and freedom as their nation comes under siege from an increasingly hostile Russian government led by Vladimir Putin.
